E' ora di pranzo e sono davanti la tv per sentire gli ultimi aggiornamenti, tra i quali quelli riguardanti i 7 capodogli spiaggiati sul Gargano. Al termine del servizio, l'inevitabile accusa giunge da un amico per sms al mio cellulare: " Non si sta facendo nulla per salvarli!!! "...La mia risposta: " No, ma io direi che c'è veramente poco da fare ".

Qualsiasi tentativo di riportare in mare i superstiti, o meglio, l'unico attuale superstite (visto che 4 sono già morti e 2 si sarebbero allontanati) sarebbe vano. Sono animali la cui mole rappresenta il primo grosso problema per noi umani, ci vorrebbero delle adeguate attrezzature che non esistono, o forse che tarderebbero ad arrivare, o forse che non potrebbero neanche servire viste le condizioni meteomarine poco favorevoli. Update: it seems that the negative response is due to inability to find in Italy, the drug given to proceed with euthanasia on sperm whales. The only way that Italy could offer would be the use of shots of gunfire, something deemed inhumane by the Minister Prestigiacomo.

Moral of the story: everything takes place as usual ... Italian. Let us look at our hands!
