Le mie iniziali perplessità a riguardo, hanno trovato una conferma leggendo il blog Storie di Mare di Marco Affronte, Responsabile Scientifico della Fondazione Cetacea, http://storiedimare.blogspot.com/ Vi invito a dare un'occhiata all'ultimo post per chiarire quanto sto per dire.

E' " una bufala, un'invenzione ", i risultati dell'autopsia non sono pronti ma lo saranno a breve, per cui attualmente non ci sono certezze.
Mi permetto di aggiungere una mia personale considerazione: questa notizia non avrebbe molto senso neanche come ipotesi.
Pur non avendo mai assistito ad autopsie sui cetacei, ai tempi dell'università con il mio professore di zoologia ne parlavamo spesso, in particolare ci informava delle analisi sul contenuto stomacale e del fatto che rilevava sempre la presenza di plastica, pezzi di reti da pesca, corde ecc ecc. cose che però non hanno mai determinato morte in nessun cetaceo (almeno da come ricordo io).
Quindi qual è il motivo della notizia rilasciata sui capodogli? Beh, non so voi ma io un'idea ce l'ho...e l'ho anticipata nel titolo di questo post!

Sono animali la cui mole rappresenta il primo grosso problema per noi umani, ci vorrebbero delle adeguate attrezzature che non esistono, o forse che tarderebbero ad arrivare, o forse che non potrebbero neanche servire viste le condizioni meteomarine poco favorevoli. Nel 2010 l'ADR avvierà la sua 2a campagna di monitoraggio cetacei alle isole Eolie.
Continueremo ad occuparci di sensibilizzazione sulle problematiche riguardanti i cetacei, conseguenza dell'eccessivo impatto delle attività umane sull'ambiente marino, continueremo la raccolta di dati sugli avvistamenti effettuati durante le nostre escursioni, ma quest'anno con un particolare riguardo ai capodogli, sondando aree in cui è possibile localizzare con maggiori possibilità questi giganti del mare.
